This year at the 2007 Convention there were many awards given to the locals and the people who assisted with the Fill-The-Boot drives for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Here is a summary of the awards:

"Most Improved" Local 2059 Santa Fe City

"Best Camp Councilor" Local 2362 Las Cruces Ray Garcia

"Rookie of the Year" Local 2850 Farmington

"Honorable Mention" Local 3814 Artesia & Local 4296 Gallup

MDA Coordinator of the Year- Stein Lein Local 2850 Farmington, Robert Sanchez Local 1687 Carlsbad, & Diana Speakman Local 244 Bernalillo County Chapter

MDA Leadership Award- Chief John Garcia Bernalillo County Fire Department

The winners received plaques and acclaimation at the 2007 NMPFFA Convention & Convention Banquet on November 17th. Next year we will be doing the same contest.
